Siyam World Maldives recently concluded an electrifying chef residency featuring world-renowned Italian Michelin Star Chef Andrea Aprea, as part of its exclusive culinary visiting chef residency program. This collaboration marked another exciting chapter in Sun Siyam Resorts' commitment to elevating culinary experiences for its discerning guests.
Chef Andrea’s visit brought an explosion of flavor and excitement to Siyam World's vibrant dining scene, dazzling taste buds with his signature creations tailored exclusively for resort guests.
During his residency, Chef Andrea led hands-on training sessions with the resort's culinary team, diving into the art of cooking pasta A la Minute, crafting the perfect pesto, preparing tantalizing octopus dishes, and mastering the secrets of risotto perfection. His invaluable expertise in handling premium ingredients like Parma ham raised the bar for exceptional quality in our dishes.
Adding to the excitement, Chef Andrea hosted two exclusive dinners at Siyam World's Cube, showcasing his culinary artistry and delighting guests with his exquisite creations.

Awarded a Michelin Star just months after opening his restaurant, Aprea seamlessly merges the richness of traditional Neapolitan cuisine with the innovation of contemporary haute cuisine. Hailing from Naples, Aprea's culinary journey evolved through extensive training in prestigious kitchens across Italy and abroad, shaping his personal approach to gastronomy. His creations embody a captivating quest, weaving together nostalgia and the present, antiquity and contemporaneity, to redefine the relationship between food and sensory experience. Andrea Aprea is a visionary chef whose culinary prowess transcends mere cooking—it's an art form that delights and inspires.
Chef Andrea Aprea has made a lasting impact on the resorts’menu with the incorporation of his original recipes, including the exquisite octopus salad and saffron-infused risotto. Additionally, he provided valuable input on refining existing menu items, such as Sicilian Arancini, Tomato Bruschetta, Parma ham with Parmesan, Baked Local Aubergine Salad, and Minestrone Soup. His guidance has enhanced classics like Penne All’ Arrabbiata, Gnocchi Al Pesto, Spinach Ricotta Ravioli, and Spaghetti Carbonara in the pasta and risotto category. Chef Andrea's touch is also evident in the secondi section with dishes like Grilled Salmon, Slow-cooked Lamb Shank, and Striploin Steak. Furthermore, he shared baking techniques and pizza advice, enriching our culinary repertoire.
