Football camp with Football Escapes & Michael Owen

The Football Escapes deal sees Michael Owen host a football camp this Easter week, with Rio Ferdinand bringing his away game over October half term.

From 1 to 5 April, Football Escapes ambassador Michael Owen - the second-youngest player to win the prestigious Ballon d’Or – is on hand to inspire a new generation of players. Considered one of the Premier League’s greatest strikers, Owen’s spectacular speed and goal-scoring instinct secured his place in the footballing pantheon. With an illustrious career that saw him play for Liverpool, Real Madrid, Newcastle United and Manchester United, he also made 89 international appearances for England.

Over the fun-packed week, participants will be enjoying daily football sessions under the expert guidance of Owen, a team of UEFA-licensed coaches plus internet sensation Eman – better known as SV2 from his viral YouTube skills videos.

Decked in their personalized Rascal training kit, young players aged from five to 15 will have the perfect opportunity to develop all aspects of their game, from tactics to technical skills. To help families make even more holiday memories, there’s even a parents’ match with the chance for mums and dads to have their time to shine.

Later this year, Rio Ferdinand will also be hosting a football camp from 28 October to 1 November. One of the most decorated English footballers of all time and famous for being one of world’s best defenders, Ferdinand will be bringing the skills he learned whilst playing for West Ham, Manchester United and Leeds United plus the England national team.
