Sun Diving Website launch event marks 30 Years of Oceanic Excellence for underwater exploration with Sun Siyam Resorts

Sun Siyam Resorts announces the successful launch of its new diving website, Sun Diving. The launch was celebrated with a two-day event at Sun Siyam Olhuveli on November 28th and 29th, 2024 which brought together an enthusiastic gathering of diving aficionados, marine conservation advocates, and industry professionals to celebrate the Maldives’ extraordinary underwater heritage and emphasise the critical role of sustainable diving practices.

The new website introduces a groundbreaking feature: the first-ever illustrated dive maps created by DiverMonArt. These artistic maps provide a fresh and visually captivating perspective on dive sites at Sun Siyam Resorts, blending creativity with functionality to enhance the diving experience.

The event provided a platform to unveil the new Sun Diving website, an innovative resource designed to inspire and guide underwater explorers throughout the various base locations in the Maldives at Sun Siyam Resorts. Featuring detailed dive site descriptions, eco-diving tips, and a gallery of breathtaking underwater photography, the website embodies Sun Siyam Resorts’ dedication to showcasing the wonders of the Maldives while promoting ocean conservation.

The festivities began on the evening of November 28th with Ocean Unveiled, a celebratory gala dinner under the stars and and marine-inspired storytelling. Guests enjoyed expertly crafted cocktails, exquisite cuisine, and a lively atmosphere as they gathered to commemorate the launch. The night concluded with A Night of Discovery, a marine-themed movie screening that left attendees inspired by the beauty and fragility of the underwater world.

The following day, November 29th, was dedicated to conservation and adventure through the Dive for the Planet: Eco-Friendly Reef Adventure. Participants engaged in reef-cleaning dives and

workshops led by expert instructors, fostering awareness of sustainable diving practices and the importance of protecting marine ecosystems.
Even beginners were given the chance to dive, with introductory sessions offering a glimpse into the vibrant underwater landscapes of the Maldives.
